I think I’d rather have a solid friendship than a relationship. A friendship where we’d still care for one another in a sense that there’s always a stable genuine continuity. A friendship where it’s a relationship stripped down to it’s basics; the I’ll do anything to make sure you’re okay, the I’ll pick you up when you fall downs, the I’ll always be there for you, the heart to heart talks, the just hanging outs, the I’ll help you with your homework, etc. All the things that are all friend first, me second. It’s all the little common things in a relationship that people tend to take for granted. 

A friendship just seems more ideal, more practical. It just seems like people push more towards the relationship side at first. It has always been friendship first, relationship second for me. The friend zone has never been a problem for me, I don’t mind being there. You just can’t be afraid to land there. To be a great lover you have to be a great friend. Sometimes you just have to prove that you’re worth it. I’d much rather have someone approach me to be my friend rather than trying to get at me. It just shows what kind of person they are by their intentions. It’s easier to keep things simple than to complicate them for no reason.
